After a pandemic induced 2 year break, Team Fortress 2 is coming back to Insomnia. In partnership with Player1 Events, EssentialsTF will be bringing the awesome TF2 event experience to Insomnia 69 in August this year. With a £5000 prize pool provided by Insomnia, this open BYOC tournament is one of the first chances the EU Team Fortress 2 community will have had in the last 3 years to compete offline.

As an Open tournament anyone with an Insomnia 69 BYOC Ticket is encouraged to compete, from arena FPS veterans to people who just want to try playing competitive for the first time! Our community is a huge part of the reason we love Team Fortress 2 so much, so we’ll be broadcasting coverage of the tournament live from the event for all to see. We’ll also be producing extra content and organising meetups for anyone interested in TF2 and attending the event, regardless of if they are playing in the tournament or not. We’re excited to bring this awesome experience back again, both for the teams looking to reclaim their LAN titles, and the wider community of viewers and TF2 fans in general! It’s possible we’ll have an Invite bracket and /or qualifiers, however this is dependent on signups.

Tickets for Insomnia 69 are now on sale at InsomniaGamingFestival.com, and we’d recommend everyone check out the site to see what’s on offer on top of our TF2 tournament. There’s always a whole range of epic experiences at the event and expo. We’ll be releasing more information about the tournament closer to the time, but future information about EssentialsTF and the event can be found on Lan.tf/i69. This site will be kept up to date in the run up to and during the event, with both tournament and stream updates. For over 7 years EssentialsTF have powered and produced the largest events in Team Fortress 2. We started as a production partner, providing broadcasting hardware to events back in 2015.
