FAQs

This is an North American-focused event but teams are welcome to join from other regions however servers should be NA-based unless both teams agree otherwise before a match.

There is a soft region lock, no teams can have more than 3 players from a region that is outside of North America.

Teams decide together which server to play the match on. Server rentals from na.serveme.tf are recommended. Please ensure the correct config/whitelist is used.

If your match is to be casted live on twitch.tv/essentialstf, the server details will be provided to you by the tournament administrators.

All matches are to be played with the Unity Cup Configs and the latest version of the RGL item whitelist.

(30min match/5min round timers; Winlimit 5; Continuous Overtime – +1 rule; Bo5 KOTH)

These configs can be found on NA Serveme and on Qixalite under the names unity_5cp_rgl & unity_koth_rgl. They can also be downloaded here.

If opponents agree, teams are allowed to use a maximum of 2 mercs who are not on the Toornament roster. (rule 3.5)

For the Invite Qualifers, all teams will need to “check-in” on Toornament by 12:00 pm EDT on May 15th (check-in open from May 14th).

For the Main tournament, all teams will need to “check-in” on Toornament by 15:00 pm EDT on May 21st prior to the tournament commencing otherwise you may risk disqualification. Check-In will be open from 01:30 am EDT the day before.

The EssentialsTF Discord MUST be used for all tournament information and communication. https://essentials.tf/discord
