DreamHack TF2 Community Clash
Dates: 14th – 15th November
Site: Clash.TF
Organizers: EssentialsTF (Essentials.TF)

EssentialsTF has announced that they’re partnering up with DreamHack; the premier gaming lifestyle festival, to run an online TF2 tournament on the 14th – 15th of November. The DreamHack TF2 Community Clash will have a prize pool of $2000 (~€1700), the largest seen from any TF2 event since Insomnia65 last year.

“Team Fortress 2 embodies what DreamHack is all about, a strong and dedicated community. We’ve always wanted to bring the DreamHack fans a TF2 focused event and who better to do that with than EssentialsTF. Growing this as part of a bigger TF2 focus through our festivals will be the goal.”
– Justin Burnham, Creative Director of Global Festivals, DreamHack

DreamHack TF2 Community Clash will be EU focused, but teams from other regions are welcome to sign up. There will be both Invite and open brackets, which teams can sign up to from the 19th of October, until the week starting November 9th. The tournament will be hosted on Toornament, you can find a link to the sign ups on Clash.TF. Day 1 of the event will include group stages, followed by the playoffs leading into day 2.

“This tournament comes at an interesting period, with players having a long time to hone their skills and build incredibly strong teams. I believe that the matches that take place will be ones to remember, and the pedigree that comes from DreamHack takes this event to the next level.”
– Charlie “DrHappiness” Smith, Event Coordinator, EssentialsTF

The event will be streamed live on DreamHack’s Twitch channel (twitch.tv/dreamhack). Essentials hopes to stream as many games as possible over the weekend, especially during the
playoffs on day 2. The aim is to release a schedule for the stream as signups are coming to a close, so players and viewers can keep track of when all the games are happening.

“This partnership is an exciting opportunity not only for Essentials but also for Team Fortress 2 as a whole as we’ll not only be able to show off all our hard work but also showcase the best broadcast and playing talent European TF2 has to offer to a wider audience than was possible before!”
– Adam “ArchRhythm” Lloyd, Production Lead, EssentialsTF

More information about EssentialsTF and the event can be found on Clash.TF. This site will be kept up to date in the run up to and during the event, with both tournament and stream updates.
