DreamHack & EssentialsTF – More Team Fortress 2 Events Coming This Summer!

For over 7 years EssentialsTF have powered and produced the largest events in Team Fortress 2. We started as a production partner, providing broadcasting hardware to events back in 2015. Since then we have expanded to organizing our own online competitive TF2 events with sponsored prize pools and becoming the primary production organization for the TF2 tournament at GAME’s Insomnia Gaming Festival events working alongside Player1 Events. We’ve also been responsible for organizing DreamHack’s TF2 Community Clash events. You can find out more about Essentials at Essentials.TF.

DreamHack and EssentialsTF are continuing our partnership with even more awesome Team Fortress 2 experiences in 2022. With a $5000 USD total prize pool, this summer we’ll be hosting multiple tournaments and events. We’ll be at DreamHack Dallas on the BYOC Esport stage, and introducing the next installment of the DreamHack TF2 Community Clash series online, with more HUGE announcements to come!

YOU vs PRO - DreamHack Dallas TF2 - Rules and Prize Terms & Conditions

1. General:
1.1 All times posted are in CDT (US Central Daylight Time).
1.2 All communication is to be done via the EssentialsTF Discord or with the tournament administrators in-person. Link: https://essentials.tf/discord

2. Players:
2.1 No cheating of any kind is allowed.
2.2 Exploitation of bugs is not allowed.
2.3 Offensive nicknames and avatars are not allowed.
2.4 Offensive content in-game is not allowed.
2.5 Players that have an active ban for cheating from ETF2L, RGL, ozfortress,
or AsiaFortress are not eligible to enter the competition at all.
2.6 Scripts that allow a player to perform an action in-game that they would not
be able to execute without the script, or scripts that purposefully disrupt the player
hitbox are banned. Scripts that freeze or glitch the player model (e.g. in mid-air to be
less predictable) to make it harder to hit are also banned.

3. Administration:
3.1 Administrators are allowed to make changes to the rules and/or make final decisions
on situations during the competition not included in the written rules.
3.2 Any rule breaks will be punished by the admins. Penalties include but are not limited
to verbal warnings, disqualification of match results, and bans from further competitions
with EssentialsTF & DreamHack.
3.3 Matches are played as 1v1 on the provided TF2 server. Players may choose the Arena they play in on the server map.

5. Prizes:
5.1 Any prize monies due to eligible Players will be distributed by DreamHack directly to each eligible Player within 60 days of event end.
5.2 EssentialsTF will transfer the alias’ and email addresses of eligible Players to DreamHack in a secure manner.
The eligible Players will receive an email invite to withdraw their prize monies via different methods depending on their territory.
5.3 Any prize monies will be distributed in United States Dollars (USD).
5.4 Each eligible Player will receive the defined split of the prize pool as per the prize information that forms the Player’s prize monies via the medium defined in 5.2.
5.5 Recipients of any prize monies are responsible for any transaction fees or loss due to currency conversion as well as any taxes they may have to pay in their territories.
5.6 All Players who are eligible for prize monies must make reasonable efforts to allow EssentialsTF to contact them via Steam message.
If EssentialsTF are unable to contact eligible Players within a reasonable time after the tournament ends, your prize winnings will be forfeit.
We recommend Players are available in our Discord server and check for announcements regularly to avoid issues.
5.7 Any prizes may be subject to change at any time by the sole discretion of EssentialsTF or DreamHack.
5.8 If requested, Players must show proof of their attendance of DreamHack Dallas by providing a copy of their ticket/ticket confirmation for General Admission or BYOC.
Failure to provide proof will make the Player ineligible to receive any prize.
